Donate Your Books
Bring your book donations to your local library. (Please call ahead for large donations to insure there is storage space).
Douglas County Library Foundation accepts the following donations:
- books (in good shape: no stains, excessive fading/yellowing, or other damage) EXCLUDING textbooks, condensed books, and computer books older than 5 years
- encyclopedias and other sets that were published in the last 5 years
- recorded books (tapes and cd)
- videos and dvds
- music cds & tapes
All donations become the property of the Library Foundation, to use as it deems appropriate. Your book donations will most likely help support book sales at local library branches, and in very rare cases, (special editions, historical documents) will be added to our collection. The proceeds of Book Sales support Foundation activities such as special events, library specific projects and special items requested by the Book Sale Volunteers and approved by Branch Library Managers.
Donate Your Memories
Paper and photographic documentation of Douglas County's past is preserved in the Douglas County History Research Center housed at the Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock. Other Donations
Please contact the Douglas County Libraries Foundation office at 303-688-7638 for questions concerning any other type of donation.
The valuation of In-Kind contributions is the sole responsibility of the donor; gift acknowledgment correspondence will not note a value of the In-Kind donation, but rather a descriptiono of the goods or product donated.
