Volunteer Your Time
Each library branch seeks active volunteers which falls under the purview of the Douglas County Libraries Foundation.
Volunteers hold used book sales, donate needed library equipment and furnishings, and sponsor special events such as travelogues, holiday parties for children and storytelling events.
With the rapid, successful growth of Douglas County Libraries, volunteers are now needed to be Daycare readers, Literacy Tutors, special event assistants and numerous other positions.
High School students can receive their community service graduation requirements by volunteering at their local library. We also offer a database of organizations in the countyS.H.O.U.T. who welcome teen volunteers in support of their graduation requirements.
We value our Volunteers because they enhance a variety of library services and help us realize our mission.
If interested in becoming a Volunteer, you may download a Volunteer Application Form, or inquire at your local library, or contactVolunteer Services (303) 688-7635.
